Location: Wahroonga, less than 2 min walk from Wahroonga train station and just by the start of thethe M1 / F3 , only  30 mins drive from the Central Coast.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role requires you to perform mechanical diagnosis, repairs and servicing of a range of vehicles. If you have a natural ability, enjoy working on cars, are good at problem solving and are able to work autonomously and collaboratively then WE WANT YOU!!!!

As part of the team you will be required to provide our customers with a positive service experience.

We require you to work Monday to Friday with the possibility of working the occasional Saturday.

The role will involve:

  • Everyday mechanical duties
  • Servicing
  • Quoting
  • Invoicing
  • Brakes, suspension
  • Engine rebuilds and modifications


ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Have a NSW Trade License in Light Automotive Mechanics for approx. 5 Years (cert 3)
  • Strong Commitment to safety – No short cuts
  • Current NSW driver's license – Manual operation
  • Time management skills and attention to detail
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Willingness to learn and adapt
  • Excellent communication skills

    Having a Registration Certificate is desirable

  • I take the jeep to Sid's for strange car noises, rego, servicing and tyres. About 4 years ago, I went to see Sid after several people had tried to fix the jeep (but it was still over-heating and spluttering). Only Sid found the problem and fixed it. It was some complicated issue with radiator that everyone else could not diagnose. If you are a girl with a car looking for an honest mechanic that won't rip you off - you can't go past Sid. Highly recommended. He has kept the jeep running despite a big accident 2 years ago (that I was told was a right-off!).
